Higginson Associates provides consultancy and expert advice to the International and UK Defence industry, including the Defence Manufacturers Association (DMA) and its members on Contractor Support to Operations (CSO) - the employment by UK and other International Ministries of Defence of Contractors on Deployed Operations (CONDO), Sponsored Reserves (SR) and Private Military Security Companies, (PMSCs) - and all the relevant associated policies, including Contracting for Availability.
Higginson Associates has established long-term relationships with the UK Defence Manufacturers Association (DMA) and a number of International Agencies, Ministries of Defence and CSO/CONDO Contractors.
The key to contractor support to operations is the early and timely involvement of contractors in the planning process with the military. Higginson Associates, therefore, provides a number of services to the Intenational and UK Defence industry, including:
Consultancy
As the DMA CSO Consultants, Higginson Associates has been contracted by the DMA since 1999 to represent Industry on the UK CSO and CONDO Projects. We also provide CSO Consultancy to a large number of International and UK Defence companies.
CSO Workshops and Training
Through our regular CSO and CONDO Workshops and Training Courses we bring together our Associates who have expertise in risk management, insurance, healthcare and training and we instruct companies and government organisations on the use of the CSO and CONDO processes and on the legal and commercial obligations, as well as training contractors' employees before deployment to an operation.
International CSO
Internationally, Higginson Associates is providing consultancy on CSO and CONDO to the African Union African Standby Force (ASF) and to the European Defence Agency (EDA).
