CSO and CONDO Workshop

CSO and CONDO Workshop Date: June 2010

Due to demand and increasing MoD CONDO deployments, Higginson Associates Ltd will be running further CONDO Workshops in 2010 at Broadway House, Westminster in London.

The next CONDO Workshop for new delegates who have not attended a previous CONDO Workshop will be in June 2010.

MoD will shortly promulgate new editions of DEFCON 697 and DEFSTAN 05-129 for the purposes of CONDO which will be included in all contracts that have any actual or potential requirement for the presence of contractors, sub contractors and their employees in an Operational Area (OA) and a Joint Operations Area (JOA). The Vice-Chief of the Defence Staff (VCDS) issued a directive to Commanders in Chief (CinCs) and Defence Estates in August 08 directing that DEFCON 697 must be incorporated in all contracts where a civilian contractor was deployed by the MOD outside the British Isles.

Supported by A|D|S and the Industry Commercial Group and leading on from the CONDO Commercial and Legal Workshops run in 2006, '07, '08 and '09, Higginson Associates, the A|D|S CONDO Consultants organise these CSO and CONDO Workshops in association with G4S Risk Management, Control Risks, Number One Health Group Ltd, Integro Insurance Brokers and KBR.

The MoD (Defence Supply Chain Operations and Movements (DSCOM), DE&S) will attend the Workshop to provide a MoD perspective and to answer any specific operational deployment-related questions.
