CONDO Update Workshop
Next CONDO Uptate Workshops Date: tba (Jan-March 09)
Our CONDO Update Workshop provides an update on changes to the CONDO process and the legal and commercial obligations upon the Contractor. Early in 2009, we will be running a CONDO Update Workshop to explain the changes brought about by the introduction of the Armed Forces Act 06, the measures introduced by MoD to capture MoD dependency and the new CONDO application boundaries.
MoD is intending to re-issue DEFCON 697 and DEFSTAN 05-129 for the purposes of CONDO by 1 January 09. DEFCON 697 and DEFSTAN 05-129 will be included in all contracts that have any actual or potential requirement for the presence of contractors, sub contractors and their employees outside the British Isles and also on deployed operations into an Operations Area (OA) including Joint Operations Areas (JOAs).
Supported by the DMA and the Industry Commercial Group and leading on from the CONDO Workshops run in 2006, 07 and 08, Higginson Associates will run a number of CONDO Update Workshops throughout 2009 in association with MoD, the DMA, ArmorGroup, Control Risks, Number One Health Group Ltd and Integro Insurance Brokers. The CONDO UPDATE Workshops will take place at Broadway House Conference Centre in Westminster, London.
The aim of the CONDO Update Workshop is to provide an update on changes to the CONDO process and legal and commercial obligations upon the Contractor as part of the civilian component of the military force. The Update Workshop also provides specific updates on pricing for CONDO, carrying out operational risk assessments and health preparation for deployments worldwide, as well as risk mitigation and insurance cover.
